Congratulations to our stroke care team (pictured here are some of our Emergency Department/EMS healthcare heroes) for achieving the American Heart Association’s Silver Plus Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Quality Achievement Award for their commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate, up-to-date treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines. Stroke is the number five cause of death and a leading cause of adult disability in the US. We also hold Acute Stroke Ready certification through DNV GL Healthcare, and provide telestroke care in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital. What all this means is that we have the tools and skills to provide the best possible outcomes for our stroke patients!
