Summary

Paid Medical Assistant training program which includes attendance of eight week classroom training
at our Hampton, NH Training Center and four week clinical internship. Successful completion of program will require passing final exam and demonstrating competency in selected skills by end of clinical internship.  Clinical internship will include four weeks of training in the following under the direct supervision and responsibility of preceptor/liaison. Classroom work will include attendance of 40 hours per week of classroom education for eight weeks. Program graduates will be prepared to work as Medical Assistant in a Core Physician's practice. Location of practice to be determined during training period. 

***Additional Bonus of $2000 awarded, $500 upon completion of program, $500 after 6 months, $1000 after 12 months of satisfactory employment. 

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Performs clinical duties such as assisting provider in examinations, procedures and obtaining vital signs.
  2. Cleans instruments and exam rooms as needed.
  3. Prepares instruments for sterilization as required.
  4. Orders and stocks exam rooms with appropriate medical supplies.
  5. Calls in prescriptions as directed by the provider.
  6. May schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing, follow up with patients after surgeries.
  7. Performs administrative duties including answering telephone inquiries, scheduling, organizing patient charts, filing, pulling and copying patient records.
  8. Maintains and adheres to established Core policies and procedures and federal regulations, including, patient confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
